Our Story
Manoj and Nisha’s journey from Delhi to Karjat, Maharashtra, is truly inspiring. After traveling to Karjat on their motorcycle, they decided to build a space that would embody their vision for sustainability and self-sufficiency. This led to the creation of Travaasa, a unique homestead designed around eco-friendly construction techniques and the cultivation of fruit trees, vegetable plants, and other sustainable practices.
The couple’s dedication to a greener lifestyle shines through in Travaasa’s design, which blends sustainable architecture with the natural environment. They likely focused on using locally sourced materials, energy-efficient systems, and water conservation methods. In addition to this, the site is filled with fruit-bearing trees, organic vegetable gardens, and perhaps even aquaponics or composting systems to minimize waste and maximize productivity.
By incorporating these elements, Manoj and Nisha not only created a place for themselves to live but also built a model of what a self-sustained, environmentally conscious lifestyle can look like. This could serve as a valuable learning hub for others interested in sustainable living, eco-construction, and urban farming.
